Yummy...

Dyed my first two color run today with fuschia and lemon yellow. Love the mottling but it's still a bit too much for the project I'm thinking about. Must get over fear of stirring the fabric around. It's all good though...the other thing I learned today is that this project really wants straight gradations of pink and yellow. And just look at all the yummy stash stuffing I got in the process of figuring that out!

oooh - your brights are nicer than my brights. Love the mottling!

I followed a link back from my sitemeter to discover your interesting work. I like your combination of embroidery and paper collage.
Are you acquainted with the colonial knot? I prefer using it over the french knot. It is easier to make (and more fun) and to control, plus more stable than the FK. To increase the size of the CK use thicker or more plies of thread and a larger needle.

Ooh, these colors are so gorgeous. Looks like perfect mottling to me, but I like that look. Gee, if you can't use them in your project, you can always give them away...y'know, to someone who LOVES that sort of thing?!

Oh but give them a chance. unfurl them and hand them randomly on the design wall and step back across the room. It's really hard to get mottling to detract from colors this hot. All wonderful.
